A diversity of perspectives, languages, professional backgrounds, regions and identities is demonstrated in each Action Canada project, including publications, videos, vlogs and discussions. Examples of these timely topics include but are not limited to: artificial intelligence and automation, the Canada-China relationship, the future of work, climate change and energy transition, the future of food, immigration, economic growth, inclusion and diversity.
We will do that by using new channels and ways to communicate public policy ideas such as short videos, place-based vlogs, podcasts, social media channels Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc. Annually, the reports and blogs are accessed more than 1, times and the website as a whole receives over 22, individual visitors who view more than 70, individual pages. The Fellowship has created a unique and unparalleled platform for emerging leaders to build bridges of understanding, connection and collaboration, in an initiative that has wide ranging positive impacts for Canadians. Each year, Fellows are inspired by a critical policy issue that they examine over the Fellowship year. Working in teams, Fellows select, analyze and research an important question under the theme.

Grace is called to the bar of British Columbia and is a member of the Oregon State bar. Grace Pastine is a lawyer and the Litigation Director for the B. She has appeared as counsel at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada. She has leadership roles on several panels and committees with anti-racism missions, and volunteers with Nike Women to promote fitness, self-care, and equity. As a government employee and independent business owner, she has worked internationally as a policy consultant, trainer and professional public speaker.
She recently returned to Calgary and founded Future Ancestors Services. Striving to provide better health care for vulnerable children and adolescents, Nicholas has worked with marginalized communities in rural and urban Canada, South America and Sub-Saharan Africa. Passionate about medical research, journalism and health care policy, Nicholas combines his clinical duties with freelance reporting, policy and research work in the areas of adolescent substance use, mental health, and mindfulness-based interventions.
In his spare time, Nicholas enjoys swimming, running, playing the piano and is part of a semi-professional a cappella group called The Eight Tracks.
Nicholas Chadi is a pediatrician specialized in adolescent medicine. Raised in Montreal, Nicholas completed a double diploma in jazz piano performance and health sciences before obtaining his medical degree at McGill University. He completed his pediatric residency at Sainte-Justine University Hospital Center, where he became chief resident in In , he completed a fellowship in adolescent medicine at the Hospital for Sick Children and a journalism fellowship at the Munk School of Global Affairs in Toronto.
He is fluently bilingual. In this role, he leads the teams providing strategic advice to the Commissioner on a wide variety of privacy issues, such as those related to public safety and the digital economy. Previously, Kevin worked at the centre of both Government and politics.
