I tried Sony support. Their position was to downgrade to Windows 7. I believe the new driver can create entries it needs, but cannot delete or change entries if they already exist. Since deleting the old drivers does not seem to delete the Registry entries, the new driver cannot properly write the new Registry entries required. The three Bluetooth services needed are installed and running. The hardware is obviously present and working properly.

I'm using Intel's Centrino Advanced-N driver version The bluetooth switch in wireless settings is grayed out in the off position.
I've tried the following: 1. Installing OEM recommended drivers and software 2. Installing the most recent drivers and software from Intel 3. Running the hardware troubleshooter 4.
Running the network troubleshooter 5. Uninstalling and reinstalling the network card from device manager 6. Installing Windows 7 drivers and software in compatibility mode I really have absolutely no clue as to what else to try to get my bluetooth to work as it did in Windows 7. This thread is locked.
